Hiking trails near Villa Almendros de Orba

Walk from the villa to Castellet

Duration: up to 2 hours

A beautiful hike that starts directly from the villa. You can do it as a circular route. Please note that the south-eastern section can be quite challenging at times. If you prefer an easier walk, simply return along the same route once you reach Castellet.

Tip: head out before sunrise and enjoy the sunrise with breathtaking views!

3 Valley Walks with Scenic Views

Duration: 40 minutes to 2 hours

The valley is perfect for walking among orange groves, olive plantations and, of course, the almond trees after which the villa is named! Enjoy the peace and quiet, with every season offering a different experience. Keep an eye out for the beautiful birdlife too — the hoopoe is a frequent and much-loved visitor.

At several points along the routes, you’ll enjoy beautiful views of the Girona riverbed. The longest route also passes through Tormos, the village on the other side of the valley.

Most famous hike in Costa Blanca: Barranc de l'Infern

Duration: 2 hours (up and down gorge) – 5/6 hours (full loop)

One of the most spectacular hikes in the Costa Blanca. The full circular route is famous for its 6,800 ancient stone steps and breathtaking scenery through the impressive Barranc de l'Infern. If you prefer a shorter walk, simply hike into the gorge and return the same way. This takes around 2 hours and still offers an unforgettable experience.
